My Life Project

The My Life project was fun. It took a long time. First, I did a lot of research. I found the average prices for many things: cars, houses, college, and many other things. I also found new headlines that were around my birthday. Then I found pictures of my childhood. I also found pictures of some of my first things: first birthday, first sleepover, and something else. Then I found a song to put in the movie. Then I put all of the stuff together. I also found pictures of the things that I priced. I wouldn't do anything differently if I had to do it again.

Music Genome

I did my music genome on Grunge. Grunge is a sub genre of alternative. The project was a lot of fun. First, I did research on Grunge, and I found out what it was. Then I found a lot of songs to choose from, and I chose seven of them. Then a found a few music videos for some of the songs. After that, I typed out some of the information of Grunge. Then I found pictures of popular bands. I put the music videos in first. Then I put pictures in, and I put subtitles on them and the videos. Then I put the rest of the songs in. Finally, I exported the video.

Snow Day 2/1/11

On the snow day, I went to http://www.zamzar.com/ to download some videos I found about grunge. I also used it to download some grunge songs as .mp3's. First I found the youtube video and copied the url. Then I went to zamzar and pasted the url into the url of the video into the bar. Then I selected .mp4 for the file type and I put my email in. Then I pressed covert, and it took 17:31 to upload. It took me 10 minutes to get the email with the file. For the mp3, it took me 26 seconds longer to download. It went a lot better than at school though, because I could't even get to zamzar at school.

iMovie Project

The iMovie Project was not that hard. It was fun. First I we did the storyboard, then we wrote a script. Then we recorded an interview with Mr. Smith. Then we put the interview video in the movie. Then we came up with a song and added effects and the music. Then we cut out some parts of the video. After that, we found the sources we used, and used Easybib to cite them. Then we put a picture in the video so it appeared in the top right corner. At the end we put all of the MLA citations in a slide for the movie. If I had to do the project again, I would make the interview louder.

Podcast Blog

The podcast was fun. It was not that hard. First I thought of a movie, then I wrote a script. Then I recorded, but it wasn't long enough. Then I had to revise the script to make it longer. I recorded the script again, and it was fine. Then I had to move the sound around and cut out some parts. After that, I found some jingles in garageband, and I added them. Then, I found seven pictures on the internet, and I used Easybib to cite them. Then I put each picture in the right spot. At the end I put all of the MLA citations. I would put more pictures if I had to do it again.

Storyboard

The storyboard was not that hard. We first came up with and chose a topic. We chose religion classes. We decided what we were going to do next. That took us a long time. We decided to interview Mr. Smith. He wasn't in his classroom though, so we couldn't. We put the stuff that we had in the powerpoint first. We went back to interview Mr. Smith later. I thought the project was fun. If I had to do it differently, I would get more pictures. Otherwise, I think the project was fine. The group I worked in was good, too.

iPhoto Project

The iPhoto project was fun. I had fun looking for the pictures. If I had to do it again, I would get more pictures, and I would use a different song. I would also get different pictures. First I got all of the pictures. That took a couple of days. Then I put all of the pictures into iPhoto. Then I copied all of the songs into the right order, and then I put them in the right order. I also turned off some of the effects in iMovie. Then I found a song and I put it in the video.
